Creating a resource

  1. Select Factory > Resources. The Resources overview window is displayed.
  2. Click New. The New Resource window is displayed.
  3. Specify a unique code for the new resource.
  4. Click OK. The Resource Entry window is displayed.
  5. Click the General tab to specify basic information about Resources.
  6. Click the Setup tab to define the standard setup time for the resources.
  7. Click the Changeover tab to define the standard changeover for the resources.
  8. Click the Clean-in-place tab to define CIP rules for the resource.
  9. Click the Availability tab to set the timetable for a resource. The timetable that is selected on the General tab is displayed on this tab with relevant data.
    Note:  The use default column is selected for each time-period. To change a default, double-click the check mark to clear the mark.
  10. Click the Availability exceptions tab to define or remove the exceptions related to the resource.
  11. Click the Resource claim tab to claim for resources.
    Note: 
    • The Resource claim tab is enabled only if the resource is added to one or more resource groups of category process or tank type.
    • The claim is defined on the resource group but can be overridden on the resource.
    • You must specify separately, the claim for resources from enabling resource groups for each resource group in which the resource is displayed.
  12. Click the Utility claim tab to claim utility for resources.
  13. Click the Custom fields tab to define the value for the required field.
  14. Click OK to save your changes and close the window. Alternatively, continue specifying the values on the tabs of the window.
