Format tab for ODBC
-
Select the data source.
For ODBC, it is possible to create a new data source in Infor Production Scheduling without using the control panel.Note: On a 64-bit operating system, the 32-bit Data Sources (ODBC) control panel can be difficult to locate. To directly open and manage the 32-bit ODBC control panel, select the ODBC. When you add or remove an ODBC data source, you must refresh the display before you select the new ODBC data source.
- Specify the login name defined in your external system.
-
Specify the password defined in your external system.
Note: In some cases, when you create an ODBC data source to an Oracle database, the ODBC driver displays an unreadable list instead of a list of Oracle instances. This can happen if two versions of an Oracle Instant Client are installed or owing to other configuration issues with the Oracle Instant Client. To solve this issue, create an environment TNS_ADMIN variable and specify the path to the instant_client_folder\network\admin folder that you require to use.
-
Select the
Bulk check box, if you
require to export a large amount of data.
Note: If the Bulk check box is selected:
- One large
INSERT
statement is built and sent to the database. ODBC export performances can be optimized, for example, when publishing the schedule to the Web Viewer. - The expressions for the attributes are disabled on the Entity tab and the Update check box is disabled on the Options tab.
- One large
-
Select a table name. The tables are displayed in the data source
after a data source is selected and the appropriate password and login are
specified.
Note:
- You can manually type a table name if the data source is not available. Ensure that the table name you specify is appropriate or is an existing table name.
- If this table is available in the data source, all possible columns in this table are listed in the Entity tab.
- Define a where clause, if required.
-
Specify the database pre-and/or post-commands, if required.
This table list the variables used in ODBC/Oracle interface entry that can be used in the where clause, pre-command, and post-command fields in the ODBC and Oracle interfaces:
