Earliest start and latest end

The Earliest Start functionality moves the selected process batch on the earliest start time. For batches in the end product stage, the earliest start is determined by the order of the batch. In the coupled stages, the earliest start is determined by the inflow batches. Batches without an earliest start and locked batches cannot be moved.

The Latest End functionality moves the selected process batches on the latest end time. The latest end of a process batch is the latest point in time at which the batch can start to ensure that the batch can be ready for the corresponding coupled batches. For batches in the end product stage, latest end is determined by the order of the batch. In the coupled stages, latest end is determined by the outflow batches. Batches without a latest end and locked batches cannot be moved.
