Joining batches
The
functionality combines two or more selected batches for the same process step to form one new batch. The maximum batch duration, maximum batch quantity, maximum weight, and maximum volume are verified when joining batches. An alert is triggered if the maximum values exceed. You can determine whether to maintain the oversized batch. A verification is performed to ensure that there is no conflict with the options, tank batches have inflow from at least one process batch and orders cannot be split in an end stage. You can set a process batch or a tank batch to allow joining when creating a process step. The existing constraints are considered when joining batches. If a joining process results in violation of a constraint, a confirmation message is displayed. If each batch has the same remark, the remark is displayed after the completion of the joining process.
