General tab

Use this tab to view or modify the interface group related data such as description, commands and encoding.

  1. Select Integration > Interface Groups. The Interface Groups window is displayed.
  2. Double-click the required interface group. The Interfaces Group Entry window is displayed.
  3. Click the General tab.
  4. Review the description of the interface group in the description field. You can rename the description, if required.
  5. Select the active check box to activate the interface group.
  6. Select the with info messages check box, if you require the messages, warnings and errors to be reported in the Messages window when the interface process is completed.
    Note: To optimize troubleshooting and integration performances, the interface run time is logged.
  7. Select the show in menu check box, if you require the interface to be displayed in the Interfaces menu.
  8. Specify a pre-command and post-command, if required. To specify a command:
    1. Click Add. A command window is displayed.
    2. Specify a command or browse to a file location.
    3. ClickOK. The command window closes.
    4. Double-click a parameter in the parameter column. A parameter window is displayed.
    5. Specify a parameter or browse to a file location.
      Note: You can browse several times to add several directories or files in the parameters field. The selected directory or file is inserted and does not replace the existing string.
    6. Click OK.
    Note: You can use variables in all command and parameters fields.
  9. Select the encoding type.
  10. Click Save.
