General tab

  1. Click the General tab on the Process Batch Entry window.
  2. Specify a remark, if any, in the Process Batch Entry window. The remarks are displayed under the batch in the planning board.
  3. Modify the resource group and resource choice selections, if required.
Note: You can modify the resource group only if more than one resource group has been specified in the stage.
  4. Select a status where appropriate. If you select reg. start in, black bullets appear in the data section at the bottom of the screen next to the setup duration and inflow start date/time for this batch. This also prevents the batch from being deleted and locks the resource, however you can view that on the Status attribute tab only.
Note: If you select one status and subsequently select another status, this combines the two status instead of replacing the first with the second. You must select cleared to start again.
  5. Specify the quantity of product present in the tank, if required.
Note:  If you have defined increments in the relevant process step, use the Plus(+) and Minus(-) options enables to increase and decrease the batch quantity by whole increments within the range set by process step minimum and standard quantities. This constraint is not applicable, if you specify the batch quantity manually.
  6. Specify a surplus quantity, if required.
  7. Specify a new value for the efficiency, if you do not require to use the default value.
  8. Specify the release duration for the main product. The default release duration of process step is overridden by this value.
  9. Specify the earliest time at which the batch can be scheduled, in the min. start time field.
  10. Specify the latest time at which the batch can be scheduled, in the max. end time field.
    Note:
    • In the table, the values for start date, time, end date, time and duration can be modified, based on the method selected. If you modify the start time, the end time is updated accordingly.
    • This ensures that the batch duration remains the same. If the product has a fixed outflow duration, the outflow rate is calculated. If the product has a variable outflow rate, the duration is calculated.
