Adding or modifying batch

You can add or modify a batch only for an order that is not completely scheduled.

  1. Drag the order onto an existing batch in the batch list if you require to enlarge an existing batch.
The Add Inflow to Order window is displayed. Alternatively, if you require to create a batch, drop the order into an empty space in the batch list. The Add Inflow to Order window is displayed.
  2. Select the number of batches you require to add to an existing batch or to be present in a new batch.
    Note:
    • You can drag multiple orders to a process batch. You can press the Shift key, when selecting multiple orders. While pressing the Alt key, drag the selected orders to an existing batch. In the Add Inflow to Order window, the order field displays the order code in case of a single order or Orders (<number of dragged orders>) in case of multiple orders. The not yet scheduled field displays the sum of quantities that are not yet scheduled for the selected orders.
    • NEW BATCH in the second field indicates that you are creating a new inflow batch; if you did the former, you can view the same window with the name of the existing batch in this field.
    • Infor Production Scheduling uses the surplus of a batch before this is enlarged. The window displays the available amount of surplus in the batch.
  3. Specify a start time if you are creating a batch.
This is set by default to the beginning of the work area. The start time of an existing batch remains the same.
  4. Select a different resource group, if available.
  5. Click OK.
