Creating a stage
- Select Products > Stages. The Stages overview window is displayed.
- Click New. The New Stage window is displayed.
- Specify a unique code for the stage.
- Select a stage type from the list.
- Click OK. The Stage Entry window is displayed. The General tab is selected by default.
- Specify the description for the stage in the entry window.

Add or remove product groups using the Select option corresponding to the type of product that is used. The
Product group availability is based on the stage type you have selected.
Note: You can click the New option to create new product. A window is displayed wherein you must provide a code, description and standard unit for the product. Alternatively, you can use the product group window.
- Click the Select option to add resource groups. The Resource group (process) Selection window is displayed. The processes selected here are used to produce the main product and by-product and the tanks used to store the products.
- Click the Scheduling tab.
- Select the specifications to create inflow and create outflow.
- Select the sequence.

Specify one of these restrictions as required:
- Not Before Earliest Start Time
- If this check box is selected, the batches are not to be scheduled before the earliest start time.
- Not After Latest End Time
- If this check box is selected, the
batches are not to be scheduled after the latest end time. Select the
cycle check box and a
corresponding cycle if you require to maintain the batch in a certain time
frame.
Note: If you do not have cycles created, this option is not available.
- Strict Sequence (do not fill gaps)
- If this check box is selected, it maintains the existing sequence.

Click
OK to save your changes
and close the window. Alternatively, continue specifying the values on the tabs
of the window.
You can find stages in one of these ways:
- Using the standard overview window referred below.
- Selecting a stage and click the Outflow or Inflow option to select all stages subsequent or before the stage is selected.
- Searching for the type of stage from the Select type list.
