Work area
The work area is the user-defined period for which a detailed schedule is planned within the horizon. Automatic scheduling functions allocate, calculate changeover, and check schedule work only for batches in the work area. The dynamic information you view in inventory simulation, utilization and labor requirements, display only the data available in the work area. In process batch, tank batch, order overviews, and create inflow, the selection is initially limited to the work area. However, this selection range can be modified without modifying the work area. In schedule process batches and distribute process batches, one of the options is to schedule process batches to the beginning or the end of the work area. The work area is displayed on the planning board.
