Entity tab for ASCII
You must create the interface code and
populate the General tab before continuing the
following steps. Special interfaces, in which more than one entity is interfaced
simultaneously, include an entity and format page for each entity.

Double-click the attribute to include. The selected attribute is displayed on the
right. Optionally, highlight the attribute and click the single right arrow.
Note: The left panel contains all attributes that are not coupled and the right panel contains the attributes that are coupled.

Double-click the column number of the required attribute. The
format definition window for the corresponding attribute is displayed.
You can view one of the following types of windows. The window that opens is based on the type of attribute selected.
- String window:
This is used for codes and text. The examples of attributes calling this window
are
Codes
andDescriptions
. The entry in the example column is example or 123456. - Boolean window:
This used for true and false or
yes and no values. The
examples of attributes calling this window are
Is Critical
andUse Default
. The entry in the example column is Yes/No/-. - Integer window:
This is used if the attribute is a number. The examples of attributes calling
this window are
Inflow
andQuantity
. The entry in the example column is 1234.5678. - Date/Time window: This is used for dates and times. The
examples of attributes calling this window are
start time
andend time
. The entry in the example column is a date format. - Duration window:
This is used for duration of time. The examples of attributes calling this
window are
Idle Time
andDuration
. The entry in the example column is 2034.
Note:- The data in the example column of the Entity tab indicates the type of attribute.
