Standing time
The standing time is an attribute of the process step for methods such as batch process, batch inline, flow pushed and flow source. This represents the period that the product stays in the process after the completion of inflow and before the beginning of outflow. This period is necessary for processing or a chemical reaction. In contrast to the minimum standing time of tank batches, the process batch flows out directly after the standing time, as long as there is no slack.
The minimum standing time can be defined for process steps using the methods such as flow process, flow pushed, and batch process. This represents the period that the product must stay in the tank after the end of the inflow before outflow occurs. This period is necessary for processing, analysis or cooling off. In contrast to the standing time of process batches, this can be followed by a waiting time.
