General tab

  1. Specify a description for the interface.
  2. Clear the active check box if you do not require to activate the interface now.
  3. Clear the with info messages check box if you do not require the messages, warnings and errors to be reported in the Messages window when the interface run has completed.
    Note: To optimize troubleshooting and integration performances, the interface run time is logged.
  4. Select the show in menu check box if you require this interface to display in the Interfaces menu.
  5. Specify a pre-command and post-command, if required:
    1. Click Add. A command window is displayed
    2. Specify a command or browse to a file location.
    3. Click OK. The command window is closed.
    4. Double-click a parameter in the parameter column. A parameter window is displayed.
    5. Specify a parameter or browse to a file location.
      Note: You can browse several times to add several directories or files in the parameter text box. The selected directory or file is inserted and does not replace the existing string.
    6. Click OK.
      Note: You can use variables in all command and parameters fields.
