Views

Views are selections of resources configured in a particular way and presented in the planning board. You can view specific information in a particular way by defining a variety of views and selecting one for display in the Settings menu. Views are also used to define the way information is displayed in the Utilization window and the Print reports.

The View Entry window contains options to create and select views and to define the way the information is displayed on the planning board. You can configure multiple time axes and resources panels. The configured panels are displayed on the planning board in the order in which the panels are listed in the view section of the Panels list. The first panel in the list is displayed at the top on the planning board.

You can these tabs in the View Entry window:

  • General: To select the views to be displayed on the planning board.
  • Settings: To define display options. For example, colors.
  • Time axis: To view and modify the settings for the Time axis group box. You can select the scale used for displaying the selected time axis.
  • Resources: To define the resources to be displayed on the planning board. You can configure more than one resource tab.
  • Batches: To configure the batch-related settings. You can use these settings to define the way batches and the additional information is to be displayed.
  • Signals: To view the signals that can be set. You can also configure the signals to be displayed in the planning board and overviews.
  • Inventory simulation: To configure the way the inventory levels of materials is graphically represented.
    Note: The Inventory simulation tab is only available if you have selected Inventory simulation on the General tab. You can view an example of inventory simulation on the planning board.
  • Utility requirements: To view the utility requirements simulation of the labor required for production that is represented graphically.
    Note: The Utility requirements tab is only available if you have selected Utility requirements on the General tab. It is based on the scheduled batches, timetables, and the number of operators required for the resources defined in the time periods.
  • Publish: To allow a view to be published in the database for making the view available in Web Viewer for AS. The views displayed in Web Viewer for AS contain a single time axis and a single resource axis. You can store settings for views that requires to be published. For example, these settings can include the path for the published views.
    Note: The tabs that are displayed in the window based on the selection in the Panels group box on the General tab.

You can publish Infor Production Scheduling schedules and data on the Web using Web Viewer. The schedules appear on the Web in a planning board, which appears like a Gantt chart. You can share the schedule quickly and easily throughout the organization with people who do not have Infor Production Scheduling installed. People can only view, and cannot not modify the schedules that are published. The Gantt chart on the Web displays detailed information related to resources, process batches, tank batches, and down times. Viewers can move through the schedule horizontally and vertically.
