Distributing tank batches

Fill large, longest empty, tanks first

Select this option for several similar-sized tanks. The tank that has not been used for the longest period of time is selected.

Fill small, longest empty, tanks first

Select this option for several similar-sized tanks. The tank that has not been used for the longest period of time is selected.

Fill large tank first

Select this option to minimize tanks and tank batches by combining as many batches as possible into one tank.

Fill small tank first

Select this option for storage capacity first.

The following example illustrates the difference between the last two strategies.

This table shows the tanks and their maximum volumes:

This table shows the tanks that are allocated for both strategies with some sample quantities. This assumes that all tanks are available.
