Inventory points
Inventory points monitor the inventory levels of decoupled products. An inventory point is automatically generated when you create a process step with a decoupled product. The process step defines the minimum and maximum levels of inventory to be maintained for each decoupled product.
The Inventory Points overview window displays the inventory levels of decoupled products. Batches for a process step with a decoupled inflow product draw that product from an inventory point, thus decreasing the inventory of the decoupled product. Batches for a process step with a decoupled outflow product push that product to an inventory point, thus increasing the inventory of the decoupled product.
The counting date of an inventory point (represented as a date and time) is the moment at which the initial inventory is recorded.
