Orders

Orders are requests to produce a quantity of an end item before a due date or due time. Sales orders and Production orders are two categories of order which are based on finished product inventory. The overview window displays orders that are included in the work area. The overview window displays orders and key attributes, such as description, quantity and percent of the order quantity that is scheduled.

Note: 
  • You can open maximum four orders overview windows.
  • Orders are not displayed on the planning board until they are scheduled.

You can select orders and click the Planning Board icon on the Orders overview window, to view the inflow batches that are associated with the selected orders in the planning board.

Optionally, to view the entire network, press the Alt key and click the Planning Board icon.

After selecting one or more orders, if you click the Create inflow option, the Create Inflow window is displayed.

If you want to delete inflow, select one or more orders, click the Delete Inflow option, and confirm whether you require to delete all relevant inflow.

Note: Infor Production Scheduling does not duplicate any inflow batches linked to the original orders. You must create a duplicate of inflow batch manually.

You can use these tabs that are displayed in the Order entry window:

  • General: To view the generic information about orders.
  • Batches: To view the details of batches created for an order. The details displayed on this tab cannot be modified.
  • Custom Fields: To modify the values for custom fields that are defined in the Preferences window. These values are mostly read and written without modification in Infor Production Scheduling.
  • Status Attributes: To set individual status attributes thus customizing a status.
