Combining multiple batches

  1. Select at least two process batches or tank batches on the planning board.
  2. Select Schedule > Join. The Join window is displayed.
  3. Select adjacent only and select one of these options:
    adjacent if within
    Select this option to join overlapping batches and specify the overlapping interval.
    adjacent if successive
    Select this option to join only successive batches.
  4. Use the join inflow and join outflow options to join tank batches or process batches on their inflow, outflow, or both.
    For example, you can join all the process batches that flow out to the same tank batch. This table shows the possible options:
    Option Description
    join inflow To join all the batches that flow from the same batch, select this option.
    join outflow To join all the batches that flow to the same batch, select this option.
    join inflow and join outflow To join all the batches that flow from the same batch and flow to the same batch, select these options.
  5. Select linked only check box to join linked batches only.
  6. Select on same resource only check box to join only batches that use the same resource.
  7. Select use cycle check box and select a cycle to join batches together in a period.
    Note: If you select this check box, the batches that belong to the same cycle period are joined.
  8. Select if field values are the same and select an entity and a field of the entity to join batches on fields of the related order.

    The entity can be a process batch, a tank batch, or an order.

    For example, if you select the order entity, the search method for the related order is the same as for a related order in the interfaces. If several orders are connected, the first order that is filled by the selected batch is considered only.

  9. Select with info messages to display information messages in a window.
  10. Click OK.
