Batch network
A batch can be related to other batches in terms of timing or quantity. Such time or quantity relationships are called batch network. Therefore, a set of batches are dependent on each other for time sequence or quantity. For example, a tank batch can require a minimum time period before the outflow product is ready as inflow for a succeeding process batch to start, or a process batch can require a minimum amount of inflow product before the processing.
Batch networks can be graphically represented on the planning board. For example, a user can select a target batch and view other batches dependent on the selected batch.
You can define the scope of the network to be displayed. The Show Network window can be used to define the number of levels to be displayed for inflow or outflow process. The list of all inflow and/or outflow batches are displayed in a batch overview window. The batch network of the selected batch are highlighted on the planning board.
