Planning Engine notes
The ’Add Note’ option is available from the plansheet panel menu or from a specific plansheet cell, using the right-click menu. The user selects from an existing note type and can specify a note summary and detailed note. Context information is added to the note: Planning Engine, Planning Engine Definition, Planning Engine Cycle (if applicable) and the plansheet where the note has been captured, including a preview image. When adding a note from a plansheet cell, the additional context of the selected resource, property and period are also captured.
A new plansheet report type: Notes are added to display notes attached to the planning engine. This is similar in behavior to the existing Notes worksheet, for analytical cycle periods. The notes plansheet supports a list and grid view. The grid view has an option to hide details, just displaying the grid. Filters are available in the grid view to limit the notes displayed and, for example, to find information attached to a particular note type, resource, property, or period.
A standard plansheet, with Report = Notes, is added to Forecast Consumption and SCO Planning Engine.
