New interface on Valid Combinations entity

Demand Planning can now generate additional validation combinations between base elements in the item and location hierarchies from SC_VALID_COMBINATIONS. The SCV entity includes a period component and base hierarchy combinations are considered valid when the effectivity starts on or before the Cycle Period Start Date and effectivity ends after the Cycle Period Start Date, or where no effectivity end is defined.

This new interface service has been created to import the elements of valid combinations:

  • DPLS - SCV - Import Demand Valid Combinations (SC_VALID_COMBINATIONS)

This new application variable switch has been created to control the inclusion of this interface:

  • dpls_use_valid_co_for_validcombos (Use SC_VALID_COMBINATIONS for Valid Combinations)

The Default Value of the application variable is 0 by default, maintaining the existing behavior.

The standard demand planning process macros are updated to include the new interface service, this interface service is processed only when the application variable is set to = 1:

  • DPLS_Import Demand Plan (SCV)
  • DPLS_Import Demand Plan Light (SCV)
Note: This feature is available after loading the demand planning template (dpls.zip) for the current release. It is enabled by updating the application variable with an Override Value = 1. A new role or privilege is not required to access this feature.
