Data retention settings for Audit Log

System Settings (Configuration > Maintenance) are extended to add Data Retention settings for the Audit Log messages.

This functionality supports automatic removal of messages after the specified duration (in days). Customers can enforce a data retention policy for general messages once the messages are not used, limiting the audit log to relevant data.

The scope of this setting is for general or system-level audit log messages. Audit Log messages that are linked to specific cycle periods or the scenarios are already retained for the lifecycle of that plan (cycle period). If a cycle period is deleted, the corresponding messages are removed from the repository.

Audit Log messages switch is enabled by default and cannot be modified in this version. This screen may be extended to define data retention settings for additional data entities in a future version.

Data Retention settings are internal system settings and therefore are not included in the configuration templates. If applying a standard data retention policy across multiple tenants, the setting must be defined separately within each tenant.
Note: By default, all general audit log messages are retained indefinitely. The data retention policy is only activated after specifying number of days to retain messages: Remove Data Older than (Days).

You are not required to have a new role or privilege access to use this feature. It is accessible to users and roles with permissions to access the System Settings configuration screen.
