Creating SCV Constraint

To create a SCV Constraint:

  1. Select Configuration > SCV > Constraints.
  2. Click New.
  3. Specify this information:
    Name
    A unique name of the Constraint.
    Note: This field is disabled for the existing SCV Constraint.
    Table
    The table name, based on which the constraint is defined.
    Description
    The description of the Constraint.
    Type
    The type of the Constraint. Possible values:
    • Primary Key
    • Business Key
    • Foreign Key
    • Hash Key
    • Change Key
    • Order Number Key
    • Export Key
    • Refresh Key
    Parent
    Indicates, if the Foreign Key Type Constraint is a reference to the parent table. Possible values:
    • On
    • Off
    Note: This field is visible only if the Type of the constraint is set to Foreign Key.
    Referenced Constraint
    A reference to the Business Key or Primary Key Constraint.
    Note: This field is visible only if the Type of the constraint is set to Foreign Key.
    Enabled
    Indicates the status of the Constraint. Possible values:
    • On (Active)
    • Off (Inactive)
    Note: By default, the field is set to On.
    System
    Indicates if the Constraint is system defined or user defined.
    Note: This option is enabled for the constraint defined by the system.
  4. Click '+' in the Constraints section to add a new column.
  5. Specify this information:
    Column
    The columns to be included in the constraint from the selected Table.
    Sequence
    The numeric value (except zero) that indicates the position of the Column in the constraint. The Sequence must be defined for each Column.
  6. Click Add. A new row is added to the Constraints section.
  7. Repeat Steps 4, 5 & 6 to add multiple columns.
  8. Click Save. The new SCV Constraint is created after successful validation of the specified information.
    Note: You can use the Constraint list page to:
    • Create a duplicate of the existing SCV Constraint and modify the parameters as required using the Duplicate option.
    • Delete SCV Constraints using the Delete option.
