Scenario processes overview

Scenario processes are used to specify the status transitions, that are applicable for a scenario in each cycle period. The process also includes the steps that are required to complete the scenario.

Each scenario process step (status) can be linked to an associated workflow definition, that is created in the . The workflow definition is used to control the tasks required for each stage, that results in a status of either Success or Failure. Based on this status, the next workflow definition can be initiated for the corresponding status, and so on. Therefore, you can control the overall flow of each scenario.

For each cycle period, these functions are available:

  • Workflow definitions that run the overall process and that can be defined for the cycle process on the Cycle Process page.
  • The scenario processes, used to specify the process steps, required to complete each scenario. These steps can be defined on the Scenario Processes page.
Note: On the Cycles page, a cycle process can be linked to a cycle, and the scenario processes can be linked to the scenarios, that are defined for the cycle.

For each module, a default system (generated by the system) scenario process is used:
