CopyCyclePeriodData parameters

This table lists the parameters used to execute the CopyCyclePeriodData macro:
Parameter Name Description
Source Cycle The Cycle from which the measure data is copied.
Source Cycle Period The Cycle period from which the measure data is copied.
Note: If this value is not specified, the current Cycle period for the specified Cycle is considered. If there is no Cycle period with Running status, an error message is displayed.
Source Scenario Name The Scenario name from which the measure data is copied.
Source Item Level The Item Level in the Source Cycle period which matches the base Item Level in the destination (current context) Cycle Periods Item hierarchy. The data from the Source Item Level is copied to the base Item Level of the Destination (current context) Cycle Period. The matching of nodes is based on the name of the item, since code lists, hierarchies or configuration versions can differ.
Note: If this value is not specified, the base Item Level (level to store scenario values) of Source Cycle period is considered.
Source Location Level The Location Level in the Source Cycle period and Source Module which matches the base Location Level in the destination (current context) Cycle Periods module Location hierarchy. The data from the Source Location Level is copied to the base Location Level of the Destination Cycle Period. The matching of nodes is based on the name of the location since code lists, hierarchies or configuration versions may differ.
Note: If this value is not specified, the base Location Level of Source Cycle period is considered.
Source Calendar Level The Calendar Level in the Source Cycle Period which matches the Calendar Level in the Destination (current context) Cycle Period. The data from the Source Calendar Level is copied to the base level of the Calendar in the Destination Cycle Period. The matching of nodes is based on the name of the calendar since code lists, hierarchies or configuration versions may differ.
Note:
  • If this value is not specified, the Source Cycle Period base Calendar level (level to store scenario values) is considered.
  • If the Enable Telescopic option is enabled for the destination cycle, only the matching periods are copied.
Source Measure code The measure to be copied.
Note: If this value is not defined, all published, subscribed and internal measures including business metrics for this module (Source Scenario) are considered.
Item Hierarchy node The item hierarchy selected for copying.

If ‘Use Destination Hierarchy’ = False or is not defined:

  • The selection of item hierarchy refers to the nodes in the Item hierarchy of Source Cycle period and must exist in the Source cycle period.
  • If the ‘Item hierarchy node’ is located above the ‘source Item level’, the nodes below the specified node are copied to the matching base hierarchy nodes in the destination cycle period.
  • If the ‘Item hierarchy node’ is located below the ‘source Item level’, the ‘Item hierarchy node’ is aggregated to ‘source Item level’ and copied to the matching base hierarchy node in the destination cycle period.
  • If the ‘Item hierarchy node’ is Null or not defined, all the nodes displayed for the user at the specified level in the Source Cycle Period are copied (If the specified source level is same as the level at which the scenario values are stored, the iconst is also copied).

If ‘Use Destination Hierarchy’ = True:

  • The selection of item hierarchy refers to the nodes in the Item hierarchy of the Destination Cycle Period and must exist in the Destination cycle period.
  • All the base nodes at or below the ‘Item hierarchy node’ in the destination cycle period are matched with the nodes at the ‘source Item level’ in the Source cycle period and copied.
  • If ‘Item hierarchy node’ is Null or not defined, all the base nodes displayed in the destination Cycle Period are matched with the nodes at the ‘Source Item level’ in the Source cycle period and copied (For base level, the iconst is also copied).
Location hierarchy node The location selected for copying.

If ‘Use Destination Hierarchy’ = False or is not defined:

  • The selection of location hierarchy refers to the nodes in the location hierarchy of Source Cycle period and must exist in the Source cycle period.
  • If the ‘Location hierarchy node’ is located above the ‘source location level’, the nodes at the Source location level below the specified node are copied to the matching base hierarchy nodes in the destination cycle period.
  • If the ‘Location hierarchy node’ is located below the ‘source location level’, the ‘Location hierarchy node’ is aggregated to ‘source location level’ and copied to the matching base hierarchy node in the destination cycle period.
  • If the ‘Location hierarchy node’ is Null or not defined, all the nodes displayed at the specified level in the Source Cycle Period are copied (If the specified source level is same as the level at which the scenario values are stored, the Iconst is also copied).

If ‘Use Destination Hierarchy’ = True:

  • The selection of location hierarchy refers to the nodes in the location hierarchy of the Destination Cycle Period and must exist in the Destination cycle period.
  • All base nodes at or below the ‘Location hierarchy node’ in the destination cycle period are matched with the nodes at the ‘source location level’ in the Source cycle period and copied.
  • If ‘Location hierarchy node’ is Null or not defined, all base nodes displayed at the destination Cycle Period are matched with the nodes at the ‘Source location level’ in the Source cycle period and copied (For base level, the Iconst is also copied).
Note: If the copied measure is of Transactional Data type, the location hierarchy node refers to the ‘To Location’ of the transactional data.
Period label The period duration to be copied.

If ‘Use Destination Hierarchy’ = False or Not defined:

  • The period label refers to the period label in the Source cycle period calendar and must exist at the Source cycle period.
  • If the ‘period label’ is located above the ‘source calendar level’, the values in the buckets at the Source calendar level below the specified period label are copied to the matching buckets’ nodes at the destination cycle periods 'calendar level to store scenario value'.
  • If the ‘period label’ is located below the ‘source calendar level’, the ‘period label’ buckets are aggregated to ‘source calendar level’ and copied to the matching the nodes at the 'calendar level to store scenario values'.
  • If the ‘period label’ is Null or not defined, all buckets displayed for user at the specified calendar level in the Source Cycle Period are copied to the matching buckets at the 'Calendar level for storing Scenario Values' level in the destination cycle period (If the specified level is same as the 'Calendar level for storing Scenario Values', the pconst is also copied).

If ‘Use Destination Hierarchy’ = True:

  • The period label refers to the buckets in the Destination Cycle period calendar and must exist at the Destination cycle period.
  • All buckets (at the 'Calendar level for storing Scenario Values' at or below the ‘period label’) in the destination cycle period are matched to the buckets at the ‘Source calendar level’ in the Source cycle period and copied.
  • If ‘Period label’ is Null or not defined, all buckets (at the 'Calendar level to store Scenario Values') visible to user at the destination Cycle Period are matched to the nodes at the ‘Source calendar level’ in the Source cycle period and copied (If the specified level is the same as 'Calendar level for storing Scenario Values'), the pconst is also copied).
Note:
  • If the copied measure is of Transactional Data type, the Period Label refers to the ‘To Date’ (Received/End) of the transactional data.
  • If the copied measure is of Market Intelligence type, only the MI events within the date range (including Start date and End date) are considered.
Destination Measure code The measure of the destination cycle period.
Note:
  • If this value is not defined, the value of Source measure code is considered.
  • If the Source measure code is null, the Destination Measure code must also be null.
Source Module The module in the Source Cycle Period containing the source scenario from which the measure to be copied.
Note: If this value is not defined, the destination module (context of destination scenario) is considered.
Overwrite Indicates if the data at the destination is overwritten with the source data. Possible values:
  • TRUE: The data at the destination is overwritten for the item, location, period selection. (When the source values are null the destination values are not overwritten).
  • FALSE: The data from the source is added to the data at the destination.
Note: By default, this value is set to FALSE.
Filter The filter used to determine the item and location selection. The relevant data of the item@locations is copied only if the filter criteria is met.

If ‘Use Destination Hierarchy’ is set to False, the filter is applied to the source cycle's item@locations (at period constant (PCONST)) at the specified Source (Item, Location) level.

If ‘Use Destination Hierarchy’ is set to True, the filter is applied to the destination cycle's item@locations (at period constant (PCONST)) at the base level for items and hierarchies. See, Filter Parameter syntax.

Use Destination Hierarchies Indicates if the hierarchies in the destination cycle period are considered. Possible values:
  • TRUE: The ‘Item hierarchy node’, ‘location hierarchy node’ and ‘period label’ refer to the hierarchies in the destination cycle period.
  • FALSE: The ‘Item hierarchy node’, ‘location hierarchy node’ and ‘period label’ refer to the hierarchies in the source cycle period.
Note: The ‘Item hierarchy node’, ‘location hierarchy node’ and ‘period label’ refer to the hierarchies in the source cycle period.

The value for the Command field must be specified in this format:
