Validation and execution

The specified notes from the source Planning Engine are copied to the current Planning Engine, on successful validation and execution of the macro. Notes can be copied between Planning Engines regardless of the status (Completed, Published, and Master).

The new note is created based on the following information:

  • The Planning Engine Cycle and Planning Engine are updated with the information from the specified destination.
  • These fields retain the source notes information:
    • Summary
    • Note Type
    • Date
    • Priority
    • Format
    • Class
    • Resource
    • Property
    • Period
    • Details
    • User
    Note: These fields are updated with the string value and validation is not performed.
  • The note can be copied only if the period (Sum or Default) exists within the horizon of the destination Planning Engine.
  • The notes can be copied only if the resource and property exists within the destination Planning Engine.
  • The notes with Log format are supported.
