Modifying user settings

In SCP, you can set the display preferences for the data context, related hierarchies and also the display of the item and location dimensions within the embedded worksheets. You can also set a worksheet as your home page. This enables you to navigate to the selected worksheet or page when you log in to the application. To modify the settings for the current user:

  1. On the main toolbar, select Settings.
    Note: You cannot modify the User Name.
  2. On the User Details tab, edit this information as required:
    Display name
    The user's display name. If no value is specified in this field, the User Name is used as the display name.
    E-mail Address
    The user's e-mail address, used to receive direct notifications from SCP. If the e-mail address is not specified, the user does not receive notifications.
  3. On the Language tab, edit this information as required:
    Language
    Specify the language of the current user.
    Locale
    Specify the region/ locale of the current user.
    Time Zone
    Specify the time zone of the current user, which can be selected from a list of supported time zones.
  4. On the Display Preferences tab, edit this information as required:
    Item Attribute
    Select the display settings for the item attribute based on these options:
    • Name
    • Description
    • (Name) Description
    • Description (Name)
    Location Attribute
    Select the display settings for the location attribute based on these options:
    • Name
    • Description
    • (Name) Description
    • Description (Name)
    Period Attribute
    Select the display settings for the period attribute based on these options:
    • Period Label
    • Start Date
    • End Date
    Measure Attribute
    Select the display settings for the measure attribute based on these options:
    • Name
    • Description
    • Extended Description
    • (Name) Description
    • Description (Name)
  5. In the Home Page section, the details of the worksheet that is set as the home page is displayed. You can also view the cycle details.
    Use Current Worksheet
    Select this option to set the worksheet you selected as the home page.
    Note: If you are accessing the Configuration, Data Management, or Process modules, the most recently accessed worksheet is selected as the hompe page.
    Clear Home Page
    Select this option to clear the data displayed in the Home Page section.
    Cycle
    This is a read-only field.
    Worksheet
    The title of the selected worksheet are displayed. This is a read-only field.
  6. Click Save.
