Adding code lists to a planning hierarchy to create OLAP sets

You can add code lists to a planning hierarchy to create an OLAP set, which are used to specify a set of elements in a worksheet or used for calculation rules.

To add a code list to a planning hierarchy:

  1. Select Configuration > Common > Planning Hierarchies.
  2. Select a planning hierarchy and click Details.
  3. On the Planning Hierarchy page, click Edit.
  4. Select the Sets tab and click New.
  5. Specify this information:
    Set Name
    Specify the name of the OLAP set.
    Set Display Name
    Specify the name to be displayed in the application. This is an optional field.
    Code List
    Select a code list based on the subset of elements that must be created in the OLAP set.
    Note: The OLAP sets are created when a new cycle period begins, based on the defined hierarchy.
  6. Click Submit and Back to List.
