Defining additional planning hierarchy for a cycle
You can link the additional planning hierarchies to a cycle, that can be used in worksheets.
To link additional planning hierarchies to a cycle:
- Select Configuration > Cycles > Cycles.
 - 
            Click 
			 New and specify the
			 required information in the cycle details pane. 
		  
            See, Defining cycles
 - Click New on the Additional Planning Hierarchy tab.
 - 
            Specify this information in the Additional Planning Hierarchy window: 
            
- Module
 - The module in which the planning hierarchy is used.
 
- Type
 - 
                        
The type of the planning hierarchy.
- Item
 - Location
 - Period
 
Note: The rolling period defined for the additional planning hierarchy of type Period is available only in the modules for which the additional period hierarchy is defined. 
- Hierarchy
 -  Select a planning hierarchy that is specified for
                        the combination of module and hierarchy type. Note:
These hierarchies are listed for selection:
- Item hierarchies with a code list that is equal to the code list of the Item Hierarchy, as specified on the Cycles page.
 - Location hierarchies (at the lowest level) with a code list that is equal to the code list of the lowest level of the location hierarchy, that is specified on the Cycles page for the selected module.
 
 - Base Levels
 - Specify the level of the additional planning
                        hierarchy that must be linked to the base level of the primary hierarchy.
                           Note: These levels are based on the values specified in the Type and Hierarchy fields.
 
 - Click Add.
