New roles for Demand Essentials Implementation Accelerators (IAs)

The three new roles are added to support the Demand Essentials Implementation Accelerators (IAs):

  • Demand Essentials Administrator
  • Demand Essentials Demand Manager - Key Forecaster
  • Demand Essentials Collaborator

These three new roles have data security access to the standard Demand cycles. All roles have access to default Demand scenarios.

Demand Essentials Administrator is assigned to a role of an administrator and a process controller. Merge of permissions for existing roles, ‘Demand Planning Administrator user in the Process module’ and ‘Demand Planning Administrator user in the Demand module’. Now the Demand Essentials Administrator has access to:

  • All Demand Planning multi-panel (layout) workbenches
  • All forecast engines
  • Same macros as ‘Demand Planning Administrator user in the Demand module’

Demand Essentials Demand Manager - Key Forecaster (copy of permissions for existing ‘Demand Planning Participating user in the Demand module’ role) is authorized to:

  • Access both Demand Essentials workbenches (Demand Manager, Collaborator)
  • Access the same macros as ‘Demand Planning Participating user in the Demand module’ related to the standard forecast process
  • Additionally, include Copy Previous Period MI Events, Import All Customer Forecasts from SCV, Publish Maintained Customer Forecasts to SCV, Copy Forward Freeze Period Forecast
  • Exclude macros linked to other workbenches / processes: Generate Supersession, Import Demand Sensing Data SCV, Publish ABC - XYZ Simulation SCV, Save Current ABC Simulation, Save Current XYZ Simulation, Save New Calculated ABC to Current, Save New Calculated XYZ to Current, Post Demand Sensing Report to Ming.le.

Demand Essentials Collaborator (copy of permissions for existing ‘Demand Planning Participating user in the Demand module’ role) has access only to Demand Essentials Collaborator workbench.

This feature is enabled after appending the demand planning template (dpls.zip) for this version.
