Additional content to support multiple event types

It is now possible to separate different event types and statistically model the impact of the event types..

Additional content is added to support multiple types of forecast event and use with the forecast engine improvements added in v20.4.

These additional measures are added:

  • Events 2 (DPLS_EVENTPROFILE2)
  • Events 3 (DPLS_EVENTPROFILE3)

The display names with the existing Events (DPLS_EVENTPROFILE) measure, can be altered to apply an appropriate business context.

Supporting content is added to import, publish, view and modify the new event type measures.

These application variables are added to control the PLAN subtype for published plan data and filtered on import:

  • Customer Forecast Events 2 Sub Type (dpls_customer_forecast_events2_subtype). Default value: Events2
  • Customer Forecast Events 3 Sub Type (dpls_customer_forecast_events3_subtype). Default value: Events3

These interface services are added to publish the event information:

  • DPLS - SCV - Publish Customer Forecast - Events 2 (SC_DEMAND_PLAN_AGGR)
  • DPLS - SCV - Publish Customer Forecast - Events 3 (SC_DEMAND_PLAN_AGGR)

These interface services are updated to import the previously published plans:

  • DPLS - SCV - Import Customer Forecast - Events 2 (SC_DEMAND_PLAN_AGGR)
  • DPLS - SCV - Import Customer Forecast - Events 3 (SC_DEMAND_PLAN_AGGR)

The new interface services are added to existing demand process macros for publishing and importing the customer forecast data to and from SCV.

These worksheets are updated to review and maintain the new measures:

  • 1. Statistical Workbench
  • 5. Forecast Collaboration - all period variants
  • History Edit Table - all period variants
  • Forecast Edit Table - all period variants

There are currently no standard forecast engines that map the new event measures. This has been left as an implementation piece based on the number of possible engine and algorithm options.

This feature is enabled after appending the demand template (dpls.zip) for this version. No additional role or privilege is required to access this feature.
