Forecast Information worksheet changes and Forecast Parameters

A new standard worksheet "Forecast Parameters" is added, moving all editable measures previously available in Forecast Information for Demand Planning. Forecast Parameters also includes several new measures added to this release. The panels can now be included separately, for example Forecast Parameters is not part of Demand Essentials Collaborator Workbench, where modification is not required for forecast parameters.

These measures are added to Forecast Parameters, and editable unless noted otherwise. These measures are removed from Forecast Information:

  • Introduction Date - removed from Forecast Information.
  • Discontinuation Date - removed from Forecast Information.
  • Do Not Forecast Flag - new for this release.
  • Count of Do Not Forecast Flag - non-editable. Also added to Forecast Information for this release.
  • Growth Damping Start Period - removed from Forecast Information.
  • Growth Damping End Period - removed from Forecast Information.
  • Growth Damping Factor - removed from Forecast Information.
  • Growth To Zero After Damping - removed from Forecast Information.
  • History Replacement Start Date - new for this release.
  • History Replacement End Date - new for this release.
  • History Replacement User Value - new for this release.
Note: The Forecast Information worksheet used in Inventory Planning (IPLS Forecast Exceptions) is unaffected by this change.

These worksheets are updated to include the additional Forecast Parameters panel:

  • 0.1 Demand Manager Workbench (Demand Essentials)
  • 2. Statistical Scenarios - for all period variants
  • 2. Statistical Workbench - for all period variants

This feature is enabled after appending the demand planning template (dpls.zip) for this version. No additional role or privilege is required to access this feature. The changes are accessible to those users with access to the existing multi-panel worksheets.
