Estimated Days of Inventory

Inventory Planning is enhanced to calculate the Estimated Days of Inventory as part of the inventory simulation. Days of Inventory is considered when calculating days cover across multiple products, specifically when the types of product vary. A normalized unit of measure (standard cost) is used to review aggregate values.

These measures are added:

  • Estimated Annual Usage Value (DPLS_INVESTANNUSAGEVAL) - calculated as Estimated Annual Usage * Average Cost Price.
  • Estimated Days of Inventory (DPLS_INVESTDAYSOFINVENTORY) - calculated as Inventory Investment * (Daily) Estimated Annual Usage Value.

These standard worksheets are updated to include the new measures:

  • Inventory Simulation
  • Scenario Comparison
  • Scenario Comparison Chart

These worksheets are included in the 1 Simulation Workbench multi-panel worksheet.
