Inventory Planning – Application variables for Demand copy process
New application variables are added to define the standard inventory planning process and the linked demand planning process when copying data:
- Which Demand Cycle to use for Forecast and History for use in Inventory (ipls_demand_cycle_to_use_in_inventory) - Default Value: Demand (PW)
- What Item level in the Demand Cycle to use to copy data from for use in Inventory (ipls_demand_item_level_to_copy_in_inventory) - Default Value: SKUs
- What Location level in the Demand Cycle to use to copy data from for use in Inventory (ipls_demand_location_level_to_copy_in_inventory) - Default Value: Warehouses
- What Period level in the Demand Cycle to use to copy data from for use in Inventory (ipls_demand_period_level_to_copy_in_inventory) - Default Value: Months
- Which Demand Scenario to use for Forecast and History for use in Inventory (ipls_demand_scenario_to_use_in_inventory) - Default Value: DPlus-Revised
Application variables can be adjusted to control the customer process and alter behavior without creating a copy of the configuration.
The application variables are applied in these macros:
- Copy Forecast from Demand to Inventory
- Copy History from Demand to Inventory
Note:
- This feature is enabled after appending the demand planning template (dpls.zip) for this version. Application variable defaults will apply unless an override value or cycle-specific value is defined.
- Additional role or privilege is not required to access this feature.
