Creating Planning Engine
- Select Process > Planning Engine. The list of planning engines is displayed.
 - Click New.
 - Specify this information:
- Name
 - A unique name of the planning engine.Note: If a Cycle is defined for the planning engine, the name is not required. If not defined, the name is populated based on Cycle.Start Period.
 - Display Name
 - The name that is displayed for the planning engine.
 - Category
 - The category to which the planning engine to be linked. You
								can create a new category or select from the categories already defined.Note:
- The category name is displayed in the Main menu.
 - If Category is not defined, Display Name is used as category name.
 
 - Planning Engine Definition
 - The definition used to create an instance of the Planning Engine.
 - Roles
 - The roles authorized to access planning engine.Note: This value is defaulted based on the value specified for Planning Engine Definition.
 - Tags
 - The tags that have access to the planning engine.Note: This value is defaulted based on the value specified for Planning Engine Definition.
 - Cycle
 - The cycle associated with the planning engine.Note: If this value is specified, you must specify the values for Calendar, Start Period and Horizon.
 - Calendar
 - The SCP calendar used when creating the calendar for the
								planning engine.Note: If this value is specified, you must specify the values for Start Period and Horizon.
 - Start Period
 - The period from the specified SCP calendar based on the Level selected.Note:
- This value is used for the starting period of the planning engine calendar.
 - If this value is specified, you must specify the values for Calendar and Horizon.
 
 - Horizon
 - The number of periods to be created in the planning engine calendar.Note: If this value is specified, you must specify the values for Calendar and Start Period.
 - Level
 - The calendar level to be used when creating the planning
								engine calendar.Note: If this value is not specified, the base level of the calendar is considered.
 - Status
 - The current status of the Planning Engine. Possible
									values:
- Master
 - Running
 - Published
 - Complete
 
 
 - 
				Click Save. The Planning Engine is
					created with status ‘Master’ after successful validation.
				Note:
- The planning engine contain the specified information and associated with the worksheets.
 - If planning engines already exist with Running or Master status in
								the specified cycle, this error message is
								displayed:
There is already a Running or Master Planning Engine using cycle [cycle], the cycle is unique when creating a new planning engine.
 - If the specified Calendar does not have the required periods from
								the start period to cover the horizon, this error message is
								displayed:
The Calendar does not contain enough buckets from the Start Period to extend to the Horizon.
 
 
Note: You can use the Planning Engines page to:
		- Create a duplicate of the existing Planning Engine (with status Running or Master) and modify the parameters as required using the Copy option.
 - Delete Planning Engines using the Delete option.
