Loading configuration settings
You can load the default configuration settings using an XML template file.
To load configuration settings:
- Select Configuration > Maintenance > Load Template.

Specify this information in the Load Template
page:
- Select a Template to Import
- The XML file that can be used for configuration
settings. Use the File icon to browse and select the required file.Note:
- The template can be a single XML file or zip file containing XML files.
- The zip file can include the content.properties file which has the branch (major version) and the version (SVN/minor build number) information.
- When the zip template is loaded with the content.properties file, the branch and version details and the zip name from the load template audit log message are added to the Audit log.
- Append to Existing settings
- Allows you to import additional settings. Possible
values:
- On: Import additional settings while retaining the existing configuration.
- Off: Reset all the existing configuration with the data defined in the template.
Note:- By default, this value is set to On.
- When you import a template file with partial data, this option allows to use both the template and the existing SCP configuration settings to validate the template content.
- In case the imported template file has data that exists in the configuration settings, the template data overwrites the configuration settings.
- Exceptions to the data being overwritten is possible and is based on the predefined entities and properties in the template file.
- If the value is set to Off and you click Submit, this
warning message is displayed
Importing a template with append set to off will clear all data out of the database. Do you wish to continue?
- Reset Customization
- Enforces the update of certain values in the template when the
template data is loaded, with no modification in the existing configuration.
If this option is set to On, the values of these entities are updated:
Template Entity Template Element Measure Display Name Standard Worksheet Display Name Layout Worksheet Display Name Note:- By default, this value is set to Off.
- This option is enabled only when Append to Existing Setting is set to On.
- Content Language
- The language in which the file display name can be
translated.Note: By default, the value is set to the user's default language if defined in the user settings. Else, the value is set to ‘English’.
- Click Submit. The selected file is loaded to the current SCP instance after successful validation of the file content.
