Defining a Replenishment Engine

To define a replenishment engine:

  1. Select Configuration > Cycle > Engines.
  2. Click New and select Replenishment Engine.
  3. Specify this information in the Engine tab:
    Name
    The name of the replenishment engine.
    Display Name
    The engine name as displayed in the application.
    Users
    The users authorized to access the replenishment engine.
    Roles
    The roles authorized to access the replenishment engine.
    Type
    The replenishment engine type. The value is displayed based on the Engine Type selected when defining a new engine.
    Module
    The module for which the replenishment engine is defined.
    Tags
    The tag linked to the replenishment engine. You can link one or more tags to a replenishment engine.
  4. Specify the Order Data for the Order Types in the Order Mapping tab.
  5. Click + to define a new calendar mapping for the engine in Engine Calendar Mapping tab. Specify this information:
    Interpolation Calendar
    The interpolation calendar defined for the engine.
    ID
    The unique ID associated with the calendar.
    Note: The value must be an integer > 0.
    Default
    Select this check box to set the default calendar for the engine.
    Note: When calculating Forecast, the default calendar is used for the item and location combination that does not have a calendar defined.
  6. Specify this information for the Allocation types in the Supply Allocation Mapping tab:
    Measure
    The measure containing valid supply allocation for the allocation type. If no value is defined, the allocation type cannot be used in the replenishment Engine. In case you use the allocation type for which the measure is not defined, an error is generated for all item and location combination using this source method.
    Item attribute
    The attribute containing the current item for the allocation type.
    Location attribute
    The attribute containing the current location for the allocation type.
    Source location
    The Source location (For example, source location name) for the allocation type, if applicable.
    Customer
    The customer name for the allocation type, if applicable.
    Supplier
    The supplier name for the allocation type, if applicable.
    Resource
    The resource ID for the allocation type, if applicable.
    Routing (Item)
    The routing ID of the Item specified for the allocation type, if applicable.
    Routing (Location)
    The routing ID of the Location specified for the allocation type, if applicable.
  7. Click + to define a new parameter in the Measure Mapping tabs (such as Item Location Measure Mapping, Purchase Measure Mapping, Transfer Out Measure Mapping and so on). See Measure Mapping Parameters. Specify this information:
    Parameter
    The name of the parameter to be mapped, to or from the replenishment engine.
    Measure
    The measure mapped to the replenishment engine parameter.
    Engine Input/Output
    Indicates, if the parameter is an input to the engine or an output from the engine. This value is set based on the Parameter selected.
  8. Click Save.
