Manually creating price changes
You can create a price change manually from the Price
Change List. You must specify the Price Type, the price change dates, and assign the corresponding price change
attributes to create a price change. Different attributes are required depending on the
Price Type you select. You can
create a:
- REG price change to set the regular, everyday retail price for an item. If the price change is for a new item, then the REG price change acts as an initial price or the Manufacturer's Suggested Retail Price (MSRP).
- TPR price change, with an established End Date, to temporarily lower the price of an item for a sale or promotion.
- MKD price change to lower the price of an item and start the item's "end of life." MKD price changes lower the price of an item to move inventory and drive sales before the item becomes discontinued.
Caution:
MKD and TPR
price changes can be enabled/disabled during the initial implementation and may not be
available in the application. If a price change type is disabled during the initial
configuration, they are not available in the user interface. Work with your system
administrator to re-enable any price change type not available in the user interface.
Price changes can be made at any location level on the location hierarchy, such as national, regional, metro, and store. You can add multiple items to a single price change.
