Downloading the import template

Before you can upload price changes into Price Management, you must download the blank import template. Optionally, you can also use a third-party data application to generate the import spreadsheet. If you download the blank template, you must specify item and price change details to be imported.
Caution:
You must verify that the date format setting in Microsoft Excel is set to include a two-digit month and day (MM and DD). If the date format setting is incorrect, Microsoft Excel automatically drops the leading zero (0) for single digit numbered months and days. For example, if you specify 05/01/2019, Microsoft Excel automatically changes the format to 5/1/2019, causing errors when you import the template.
  1. Select Navigation Menu > Price Change List.
  2. Click Import. The Import Price Changes window is displayed.
  3. Select the Template Delimiter you want the template to be downloaded with, Pipe (|) or Comma (,).
  4. Click Price Change Template - Download. The template is automatically downloaded to your computer.
  5. Open the blank template in Microsoft Excel.
  6. Use the first cell of each row to specify the Price Type of the price change. You can add price changes with different price types in the same template file.
  7. Specify the remaining pricing and item information in the columns to complete the template. The template file displays all possible price change attributes required for each price change type. You can leave an attribute column blank if it does not correspond to the price change type you want to upload.
Note: Use a date format of YYYY/MM/DD, MM/DD/YYYY, or M/D/YYYY with or without backslashes (YYYY/MM/DD or YYYYMMDD, M/D/YYYY or MDYYYY, and MM/DD/YYYY or MMDDYYYY) for date fields.
  8. Save the spreadsheet locally.
