Alternative hierarchies

Note: Alternative hierarchies are configured by the retailer during implementation. Alternative hierarchies may not be available depending on how Price Management was implemented. Work with your system administrator or the Infor Delivery Team for more information.

Price Management is automatically designed to group price changes by locations and location levels. To meet the needs of the business, such as running promotions or price events, Price Management allows retailers to create custom multi-level hierarchies to group price changes.

For example, your retailer can create a hierarchy called ABC Hierarchy with these levels that make up the hierarchy:
  1. A
  2. B
  3. C
When you create a price change, you can select ABC Hierarchy and apply the price change at the A level.

If a retailer configures their own hierarchies, the hierarchy is displayed in the Location Information section on the Create Price Change page. You can select the hierarchy and then select the level(s) from the list. After a hierarchy is created, it cannot be modified or updated.
