New features

This section presents new product features included in this release of Price Management.

Was override price (WFMPE-6430)

Note: This Was Price value is only for printing price tags or planning item displays. This price value can be applied to only regular price changes. This feature is not automatically configured and is disabled during an initial deployment. Work with the Infor Delivery team or the Services team to enable this feature during a deployment or implementation of the application.

Added a "was" price that can be used as the previous price for an item instead of using the item's actual last in-effect price. This allows retailers the ability to print a price tag or signage that displays a current price that is lower compared to the "was" price, such as for a promotion or sale. The Was Price field displays and can be specified during the creation of a regular price change.

Previous price in Advanced Price Lookup (WFMPE-6418)

Added the ability to view the previous in-effect price of an item prior to the price being viewed in the Price Change Details window. When a user clicks a date/price intersection from the Advanced Price Lookup table, the Price Change Details window displays additional price change details for that date/price intersection from the table. The Previous Price button now displays in the Price Change Details window.

When a user clicks Previous Price, the last price and price change that was effective before the date/price intersection being viewed is displayed in the table. The previous price is displayed with a starting/ending date of the day before the current price first took effect. If a given price (item/location/date intersection) has multiple in-effect price changes associated with it, each price change displays its own Previous Price button.
Note: The previous price that is displayed is based on the date/price intersection the user clicks from the Advanced Price Lookup table. It is not the last in-effect price before the current price for an item unless the user is viewing the current in-effect price in the Price Change Details window.

Business rules (WFMPE-6417)

Note: Business rules by price type can be configured during an initial deployment or a deployment. Work with the Infor Delivery team or the Services team to enable or disable certain business rules by price type.
Added the ability to configure these price change business rules by price type in the application:
Price Effectiveness
Indicates whether a price change can be approved for an item that is not effective in certain locations. If this rule is enabled, an alert is displayed when a price change has been approved but is not effective in certain locations.
Price Relationship
Indicates whether to enforce price type or relationship rules that are specific to each price type if they overlap. For example, If this rule is enabled, an alert is displayed when a TPR has a greater price than the REG price for the same item (since a TPR price must normally be less than the REG price).
No Endless During Provisional
Indicates whether you can create a price change with no end date, such as a REG price change, that starts during an existing TPR price change. If this rule is enabled, an alert is displayed when an endless price change starts in the middle of a provisional price change.

These rules can be enabled and disabled during the initial implementation and deployment of the application.
