New features
This section presents new product features included in this release of Price Management.
Was override price (WFMPE-6430)
Added a "was" price that can be used as the previous price for an item instead of using the item's actual last in-effect price. This allows retailers the ability to print a price tag or signage that displays a current price that is lower compared to the "was" price, such as for a promotion or sale. The Was Price field displays and can be specified during the creation of a regular price change.
Previous price in Advanced Price Lookup (WFMPE-6418)
Added the ability to view the previous in-effect price of an item prior to the price being viewed in the Price Change Details window. When a user clicks a date/price intersection from the Advanced Price Lookup table, the Price Change Details window displays additional price change details for that date/price intersection from the table. The button now displays in the Price Change Details window.
Business rules (WFMPE-6417)
- Price Effectiveness
- Indicates whether a price change can be approved for an item that is not effective in certain locations. If this rule is enabled, an alert is displayed when a price change has been approved but is not effective in certain locations.
- Price Relationship
- Indicates whether to enforce price type or relationship rules that are specific to each price type if they overlap. For example, If this rule is enabled, an alert is displayed when a TPR has a greater price than the REG price for the same item (since a TPR price must normally be less than the REG price).
- No Endless During Provisional
- Indicates whether you can create a price change with no end date, such as a REG price change, that starts during an existing TPR price change. If this rule is enabled, an alert is displayed when an endless price change starts in the middle of a provisional price change.
These rules can be enabled and disabled during the initial implementation and deployment of the application.
