Default price reason codes
Price Management uses price reason codes as a way to define the cause for a price change. Price reason codes provide a way to track why price changes are made and to group price changes by their cause. For example, users can see all price changes made for a clearance sale or prices for items that have been discontinued.
Price Management is configured with default
      price reason codes that are pre-defined in the application. These price reason codes cannot be
      modified or deleted from the application. This table shows the default price reason codes in
        Price Management:

| Clearance | Changing the price to a discounted sale price for an item to clear it from inventory. | 
| Competitive | Changing the price of an item to reflect a competitive price strategy. | 
| Discontinued | Changing the price of an item that is no longer available or is discontinued from the inventory | 
| Everyday Value | Changing the price to a daily or short-term promotional price, which is communicated to the customer as a value. | 
| Globally Set Price | Setting the price at the global level for all locations. | 
| In Store Special | Changing the price temporarily for an in-store special sale, usually done at the store location level. | 
| Market Sale | Changing the price temporarily to align with set promotion market cycles. | 
| Rewards | A loyalty price for customers part of the membership program. | 
| Regular | Setting the regular price for an item. | 
| Special Sale | Changing the price to a special sale or promotion price. |
