Parameters

You can use the Parameters screen to setup properties that you have access to.

Navigate to Menu > Configuration > Parameters.

Note: You must have Revenue Manager Administrator access to edit properties.

Property

For each property, these details are displayed:

  • Property Name: Name of the property
  • PMS Code: Property Management System code of the property
  • Address: Address of the property
  • City: City where the property is located
  • Country: Country where the property is located.
  • Currency: Official unit of currency for the location of the property.
  • Property Type: Type of property.
  • Star Rating: Number of stars that the property has.

Optimization

For each property, these details are displayed:
  • Optimization Horizon: Optimization horizon for the property in number of days
  • Price Tax: Tax for the property is either Tax Inclusive or Tax Exclusive
  • Number of Guests: Default number of guests of the property
  • BAR Rate Code: Best available rate code used by the property

Pricing

You can use the Pricing section to select a pricing strategy that determines how the room type prices must be defined and optimized for a hotel.

These are the possible scenarios:
  • BAR (Best Available Rate) Level Recommendation:
    • If this option is selected, the pricing strategies for a hotel must be defined using the BAR levels.
      Note: A BAR level is a pricing tier that is configured on the Strategy Control screen for each pricing strategy.
    • The BAR Levels management list is displayed with the existing BAR levels. You can modify the list.
    • You can enable the Use Room Class Differentiated Pricing option to apply multiple BAR levels to each room class for a specific date.
    Note: 
    • The order of BAR levels defined in the BAR Levels management list is applied wherever required.
    • You must disable the BAR levels for a pricing strategy to delete the BAR levels.
    • You must define at least five BAR levels for a property.
    • You can create up to 25 BAR levels for a property.
  • Continuous Pricing:
    • If this option is selected, the pricing strategies for a hotel must be defined using a price range. The application recommends the price between the specified price range on the Strategy Control screen.
    • You can use the Price Step field to specify the amount by which the price is increased or decreased when you use Price Stepper.
    • You can define two decimal digits in the Decimal Ending field for the prices configured in the application. This field is enabled only when you select the Append ending to published prices on publish check box.
      Note: A warning message is displayed when you modify the pricing strategy for the hotel.
