Creating new pricing strategies

Follow these steps to create a new pricing strategy:

  1. Select Menu > Strategy Hub > Strategy Control > Prices Strategies and select +.
  2. Specify this information:
    Name
    Specify a unique name for the strategy.
    Description
    Specify a description of the strategy.
    Color
    Select a color to highlight the strategy.
    Applicable To
    Use the check boxes to select the days you want the strategy. All seven days are selected by default.
    Start From
    Select the pricing strategy to use as a template for the new strategy.
  3. The Optimization Control tab shows the optimization rules::
    • Room Type: The room type that the room belongs to
    • Room Class: The room class that the room type belongs to
    • Is Reference: Show if the room type is referenced or not
    • Price Range for [referenced number of guests] ([currency])

      Specify this information:

      Min Price
      Specify the minimum price
      Max Price
      Specify the maximum price

      This defines the limits for the optimization. It is displayed for Reference Room Types only.

    • Minimum Price Difference vs. Lowest Romm Type ([currency]):The value of the minimum difference in price vs. the lowest value room. This acts as a hard limit for the engines.
  4. Select Save.
  5. Optionally, you can specify thiis additional information in the Additional Guest Supplements tab:
    2 Adults
    Specify the price difference for guests that are not the reference number of guests.
    Extra Adult ([currency])
    Specify the price difference for additional guests.
    Extra Child ([currency])
    Specify the price for an extra child.
