Setting up Return Merchandise Authorization (RMA) in the web shop

To set up the web shop for RMA functions, sign in to the web shop as a site editor and complete these steps:
  1. Create a Return Order page and add the Return Merchandise Authorization widget. Configure the widget.
  2. Configure the Orders List Submitted widget to link to the Return Order page.
  3. Configure the Orders Details widget to link to the Return Order page.

Creating the Return Order page

  1. Sign in to Rhythm Portal as a site editor.
  2. Create a Return Order page.
  3. Add the Return Merchandise Authorization widget to the page:
    1. On the Return Order page, click the Add button.
    2. Expand the Rhythm Commerce Widgets menu.
    3. Drag the Return Merchandise Authorization widget to the page.
  4. On the widget, select Options > Configuration.
  5. Specify these configurations:
    Continue Shopping Target Page
    Select the name of the Product List page. This page is opened when users click the Continue Shopping button.
    Order History Target Page
    Select the name of the Order History page. This page is opened when users click the Back To Order History button.
    Product Details Target Page
    Select the name of the Product Details page. This page is opened when users click the product link in the widget.
    Configurable Message ID
    Specify the ID of the web content that you use for RMA. The customized message associated with the web content id is displayed in Step 3: Confirmation of the Return Order page tab. If you did not create a customized message for RMA, leave this field blank.
    Enabled breadcrumbs
    To provide a navigation path back to the Return Order page, turn on this switch.
    Display images
    To show thumbnail images of the products in the RMA, turn on this switch.

Configuring the Orders List Submitted widget for RMA

  1. Sign in to the web shop as a site editor.
  2. Navigate to the Order History page. On the Orders List Submitted widget, and select Options > Configuration
  3. In the Select the Return Order Target Page configuration, select the name of the return order page.
  4. Click Save.

Configuring the Orders Details widget for RMA

  1. Sign in to the web shop as a site editor.
  2. Navigate to the Order Details page.
  3. On the Order Details widget, select Options > Configuration
  4. In the Select the Return Order Target Page configuration, select the name of the return order page.
  5. Click Save.
