User Impersonation

Rhythm CSR users can impersonate customer and consumer users upon their request for support in their account, placing an order, requesting a quote, and accepting or declining a quote on their behalf.

Prerequisites

You must meet these requirements to impersonate a user.

  • Ensure you created an Impersonate User page and the User Impersonation widget is dragged to the page. Correct permissions and configurations must be applied.

    To configure the Impersonate user page and widget, see Infor Rhythm for Commerce Administration Library (Cloud) and select Administrator > Web Shop Content and Functions > User Impersonation.

    To set up permissions for the Impersonate user page, see Infor Rhythm Portal Administration Library (Cloud) and select Administrator > Site Editor Guide > Web pages > Setting up permissions for Impersonate User page.

  • You must have a CSR user with these roles assigned:

    • Rhythm CSR User role in Rhythm Portal

    • CSR role in the Business Center (by default, the required feature element CSR is selected in this role)

      Note: To create a CSR user, create a new user from Rhythm Portal’s Users and Organizations. See Infor Rhythm for Commerce Administration Library (Cloud) and select Administrator > Web Shop Content and Functions > User Impersonation > Creating a CSR user.
