Do not reorder items

An item is considered discontinued when all warehouses in the user’s priority warehouse group have the item set to Do Not Reorder. If at least one warehouse is set to Open, the item is not considered discontinued.

In the web shop, discontinued items show a visual indicator. If users enter a quantity that exceeds the remaining quantity for a discontinued item, they are notified of the remaining quantity. For example, if a discontinued item has 100 each remaining and the user specifies 103 Each in the Quantity field, a notification informs the users that only 100 Each is available.

When a discontinued item is sold in multiples, the remaining quantity validation also considers the modular quantity setting.

For example, if the Items.Enable Modular Quantity Check application property is set to Recommended, the discontinued item has 100 each remaining and it is sold in multiples of six, and the user specifies 102 Each in the Quantity field, the user sees two notifications:
  • The recommended modular quantity popover shows 100 Each. It shows the discontinued item’s remaining quantity even if it’s not divisible by its modular quantity.
  • The remaining quantity popover shows 100 Each. Users can still add any quantity to the shopping cart.
If the Items.Enabled Modular Quantity Check application property is set to Enforce and the user specifies 102 Each in the Quantity field, the user sees two notifications:
  • The enforced modular quantity popover shows 96 Each. It shows the highest quantity that is divisible by the modular quantity and is equal or less than the remaining quantity of the discontinued item.
  • The remaining quantity popover shows 96 Each based on the discontinued item’s modular quantity.

    When users select an alternate unit of measure, the remaining quantity is displayed in the selected unit.
