Enabling and disabling synonym rules

You can enable or disable the synonym set for your selected locale. This enables you to control whether the published synonym rules associated with that locale in the Synonym Search page will impact the results in the Dynamic Search. An orange banner is displayed while the activation or deactivation is ongoing, as it may take some time before it finishes. Once done, the orange banner will disappear, and a success message is prompted on the page.

Select a locale.
Click More Actions.
To apply the synonym rules for the selected locale in the Dynamic Search, select Activate Synonym Set. The published synonym rules for your selected locale are considered in the Dynamic Search.
The synonym set for the selected locale is set to Active.
To disable the synonym rules for the selected locale in the Dynamic Search, select Deactivate Synonym Set. The published synonym rules for your selected locale are not considered in the Dynamic Search, meaning they do not influence the search results.
The synonym set for the selected locale is set to Inactive.
