Downloading and filling out the SynonymSetTemplate.xlsx

You can download the SynonymSetTemplate.xlsx on the Synonym Search page.

  1. On the Synonym Search page, navigate to More Actions.
  2. Click Download Template.
  3. Open the SynonymSetTemplate.xlsx document.
    Use the SynonymSetTemplate.xlsx to fill out the Search Term, Related Term, and Synonym Search Type that you will import to your locale. The .xlsx file must contain these header values in sequence:
    Search Term
    Specify a search term. Use this field for one-way synonym. The term specified in this field is used by end users as a search keyword in the Dynamic Search but does not return relevant results.
    Related Term

    Specify related terms.

    For one-way synonym, the terms defined in this field are synonymous with your search term and are displayed in the search results.

    For two-way synonym, the terms defined in this field are related to each other which will produce the same search results.

    Synonym Search Type
    Specify whether your synonym rule is one-way or two-way.
