Editing defined attributes

You can edit the attribute name, description, required field setting, localization setting, and read only setting. You cannot edit other information. When you edit a defined attribute from a parent entity type, the attribute is updated in these areas:
  • The defined attributes section in the parent entity type
  • The inherited attributes section in all of the parent type's child entity types
  • The attributes section of any entity that was created with the parent entity type or child entity type.
  1. On the dashboard, click Entity Types.
  2. If multiple accounting entities are available in PIM, ensure that you have selected the accounting entity that you want to use.
  3. In the records pane, click the entity type that you are editing.
  4. Click Edit.
  5. Expand the Defined section.
  6. On the row that contains the attribute that you are editing, click the Edit Row button.
  7. In the Edit Attribute panel, edit the attribute information.
  8. Click Apply.
  9. In the Entity types form, click Update.
