Manually adding entities

  1. On the dashboard, click Entities.
  2. If multiple accounting entities are available in PIM, ensure that you have selected the accounting entity that you want to use.
  3. Optionally, use the navigation pane to select the entity type for the entity.
  4. Above the entity grid, click Add Entity.
  5. The entity type that you selected in step 2 is displayed. Click the arrow to select a different entity type.
  6. Click Next.
  7. Optionally, use the filters in the information panels to view only required attributes, attributes that contribute to completeness level, or localized attributes.
  8. In the General section, defined and inherited attributes that do not require a file upload are displayed. The information that you specify depends upon the attribute type:
    Text
    You can specify a single line of text.
    Text Area
    You can specify formatted text. You can press the Return key to insert a line break.
    HTML
    You can specify basic HTML formatting. Use this type to create formatted text, such as bold text or italic text.
    Number
    You can specify numeric values only.
    External link
    Specify a URL.
    Enumeration
    Select from a list of predefined values. If you can select more than one value, then you use check boxes to select the values. If you can select only one value, then you use option buttons to select the value. If you do not want to select a value, select the (not set) option.
  9. In the Media section, the document and image attributes for the entity type are displayed in alphabetical order. Both the defined and the inherited image attributes for the entity type are displayed. To add one or more files for an attribute:
    1. Click the Add button.
    2. Drag-and-drop multiple files to the upload area, or click Select Files to browse the file system for the files to upload. For document attributes, you can upload .pdf files. For image attributes, you can upload .png, .jpg, and .jpeg files.
    3. Click Add to List. The files are added to the table. Thumbnail images of the files are also displayed in the table.
  10. Click Save.
